2026 Mandela Month Competition T's and C's

Introduction

This promotional campaign is organized and run by The Drum Archive Shop (Pty) Ltd, Reg No: 2021/989862/07. By participating in this promotion online or at our physical store, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This promotion complies with Section 36 of the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008.

1. Campaign Period

The promotion runs strictly from 1 July 2026 to 31 July 2026 (both days inclusive). Any purchases made outside of this window will not qualify for the promotional discounts.

2. Eligibility

The promotion is open to all online shoppers and walk-in retail customers within South Africa.

3. Qualifying Merchandise & Exclusions

  •  Included: The discount applies exclusively to Mandela-branded apparel and merchandise, including but not limited to t-shirts, hoodies, and caps.
  • Excluded: All posters are excluded from this promotion and will be sold at our normal prices.

4. Promotional Mechanics                                                                                   

  • Participants can access the discount of up to 40% off via two channels:
  • Online Purchases: Qualifying Mandela merchandise items on the website, will qualify for the discount of 40% at checkout only when using the discount code Mandela2026, during the campaign period.
  • In-Store "Pick a Ball" Lucky Draw: Walk-in customers visiting our store at 44 Stanley can participate in a physical draw at the point of sale.
  • Before checking out, the customer must randomly select one ball from the designated promotional container. The promotional container contains balls clearly marked with 10%, 20%, 30%, or 40% discount tiers.
  • The discount percentage indicated on the selected ball will be applied to all qualifying Mandela merchandise in that specific transaction.
  • Participation is limited to one ball draw per customer, per transaction.

5. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds for Promotional Items                                         

  • In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, the following rules apply to items bought during this promotion:
  • Change-of-Mind Returns & Exchanges: If you wish to exchange a promotional item for a different size or style, the exchange will be subject to stock availability during the month of July.
  • Value of Return: Any refund or store credit granted for a returned promotional item will be equal to the exact discounted price paid at the time of purchase (as reflected on the receipt), not the original full retail price.
  • Defective Goods: If a promotional item is found to be defective within 6 months of purchase, you retain your full legal right to a repair, replacement, or full refund of the price paid, as per Section 56 of the CPA.
  • Online Return Shipping: For change-of-mind returns or size exchanges on items bought online, the customer is responsible for the direct courier costs of returning the item to us and shipping the replacement. Drum Archive will only cover shipping costs if the item delivered was incorrect or defective

6. General Promotion Rules

  • Promotional discounts apply only to stock that is currently available. No rainchecks or backorders will be issued if an item sells out.
  • The discounts are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other active store vouchers or rewards.
  • Drum Archive reserves the right to amend or terminate this promotion at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, structural stock depletion, or forces outside its control, in accordance with South African consumer law.
